8 Person Tent Reviews

An 8 person tent can be a dream to own, or it can be a nightmare. For me, it has always been a dream. Whenever I plan on using my eight person tent, it is because I am going camping with either a large group of my friends or I am going camping with my immediate family.

Luckily I have a good tent that provides me with everything I need. I say luckily, but it really isn’t luck at all, its actually all of the planning I did before purchasing this tent. As I’ve said in some of my other pages, I have several tents and I am an avid camper.

Living in Pennsylvania, I have many different places to camp in and four distinct seasons to do it in. This tent is not quite a 4 season tent, but it does do very well in everything but the dead of winter. With all the snow we have been getting the past couple of years, I probably wouldn’t want to venture out between the months of December and February anyway.

If your searching for a true 6 person tent or another large tent, you’ll want to check out more than a few camping tents for sale. Just because you are out camping, does not mean you should not be comfortable while doing so.

A Good 8 Person Tent

What I searched for before purchasing my tent was something that was nice and high. Since I have shorter and smaller tents for backpacking, I figured I would buy something big and tall for my car camping trips. My Eureka Copper Canyon 1312 is over 7 feet high in the center and has a square footage of 156 feet. This is larger than some of the rooms in my house and stores more than some of them.

Another thing I like about this tent is that it has a nice detachable awning on the front to sit underneath. I find it very relaxing to sit out front of the awning on calm sunny days. When the sun goes down you can go inside and open up the stargazing panel.

One thing many people will notice is that when this room converts into a two room tent, it actually has private entrances to each room. Many times companies will make two room tents that only have one entrance.

If your looking for an 8 person tent, I’d highly recommend taking a look at the Eureka Copper Canyon.
